Color


          This is a logo meant to represent myself. I used the imagery of a combined form of the genderqueer and the agender symbols. Gender personally means a lot to me so I wanted a representation of myself to be a representation of that. Additionally, the upside-down triangle is an allusion to the symbol used by Nazis to brand gay men and trans women, which has since been reclaimed by queer activists as a symbol for resistance. The symbol I am alluding to is pink which is why I used pink in my colored versions. I tried to keep the logo simple and I believe I succeeded.

Howdy, I am Sage Boutelle and I am a film and media arts major at the University of Tampa. I am from Tampa so, as you can imagine, I did not have to go very far. I am a lover of pretentious cinema so if anyone wants to hear about niche French films I can provide that. Once, I was qualified for and planning to go to a national competition for high school journalists and filmmakers but that was back in March 2020 and the funniest thing happened.  This class looks like it is going to provide for an interesting semester. At first glance, the assignments for the course look like they will be challenging but in an engaging way. Through this course, I hope to become more familiar with the Adobe software suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator as my experiences with them thus far have not been pleasant.
